Electronic access control systems are in high demand among our clients in Charleston and South Carolina.
Why?
An access control system allows you to control access to your business location and also to specific rooms within that location — which keeps you knowledgeable about who has access to your valuable business assets.
With an electronic access control system, there is an interface on the door that will require identification in the form of a code, keyfob or I.D. badge. Once the code is entered or the keyfob/I.D. badge is accepted the door will automatically unlock and allow access. If an incorrect code is entered or a keyfob/I.D. badge is invalid, the door will remain in the locked position.
How do you know if your business needs an access control system? Ask yourself these three questions:
We’ve all done this before: you create a new key for an employee, the employee either leaves the company or gets fired and now you’re scrambling to get the key back from that ex-employee or you’ll have to change the locks.
Well, with an access control system, you’ll never need keys to open your door. When the employee leaves your company, simply delete their login credentials from the system and they no longer will have access. No keys, no mess, no problem.
There may be certain rooms that you only want certain people to have access to. These rooms are often specific offices, server/IT rooms, stock/inventory rooms, etc. Access control for these types of are limited to only select staff members — thus restricting who can gain access to your business’ most valuable resources.
Electronic access control systems store a history of entries, sorted by security code. These security codes are associated to personel so you’ll know who has been in/out of your location and when they used their codes to gain access.
Access control security systems are a great way to add to your business intelligence — intelligence that makes you more knowlegeable about what’s going on in your business — and increases your Peace of Mind.
